Introducing Kerstin Lankey

Kerstin started kart racing in May 2009, entering the Ancaster Karting Members Championship for the first time. Kerstin put in an impressive performance to win the Championship in October 2009 with one race in hand, securing a number of pole positions and race wins throughout the season. Moving on to MSA kart racing in October 2009, Kerstin had to start as a novice driver according to MSA regulations yet has demonstrated an impressive performance achieving top novice driver three times in the five races required before moving off a ‘novice licence’. Kerstin now drives Junior Rotax and is making great progress.

In her first season in Junior Rotax she secured second place in a club Winter Championship which brought her press coverage. Kerstin has done extremely well to obtain sponsorship from new challenger bank, Aldermore for the third consecutive year and is deeply grateful for their ongoing support without which the progress she has made would not have been possible. Aldermore are champions of British Business and has provided some fantastic branding for Kerstin’s kart as shown in the picture above to promote this. At race meetings, Kerstin is supported by one of the top drivers in the country, Corby Gormley, who will be competing in the British Karting Championship this year, also promoting Aldermore. Ancaster Kart Racing also providing support for Kerstin by providing free testing time on their track.”

When Kerstin is not karting, she enjoys kick boxing having achieved Black Belt 2nd dan and 2nd place in the British Open Championships in 2009. Kerstin is also a black belt in multi-fighting arts.
